Greater Love

Greater Love

2eca110ef8c6b20d40ba2220163ca08bA bitter wind blows in Tennessee today cutting through my bones it seems. As I endure the weather I am reminded to be thankful.

Many people are out in this and freezing. Some of them do not have a warm place in which to seek refuge.

As I think about God’s love this Sunday Morning I can only say I am very blessed on this cold Valentine’s Day.

God’s love isn’t just today but every day. God doesn’t throw us to the curb when we disobey Him.

He encourages us through His Word, and many times circumstances, to come back to Him. He is our safe refuge from the cold bitter world around us.

I am thankful His love causes Him to continue to woo us like a man would his bride. A man wooing his bride does so to help build a relationship with his words and actions.

So, today, let’s be thankful for God’s unchanging, never ending, merciful love for us. And be thankful he doesn’t give us what we deserve, the bitter cold.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
